Fattoria Fontegeloni

Our "Welcome" in Fattoria!

RIFORNIMENTO PER LA COLAZIONE o WELCOME BASKET

Our guests often make let us know that when they arrive to Fontegeloni they find more than what they were expected by looking at our website.
And honestly, even if this seems odd, we think it is good :)
It is not nice, after a long journey, to get there and find different thing or less than what you expected!
We tried with pictures and descriptions to be more realistic and accurate as possible, but it is also true that many things are difficult to be well in evidence ...  we can't let you see all in few pages!
And so we had the idea of creating this blog and now this post to tell you a little more about us!
We would rather describe our "additional services" or "special things", as we prefer to call them, included in the rates, and characterizing our agriturismo.
One of the things most appreciated is the
SUPPLY FOR BREAKFAST
the guests find the day of arrival in the apartment. Feel the smell of freshly baked bread and a cake in the kitchen... we think it's really nice!
And as we always think "what would we love to find" .... Here's our "supply":

- a soft pan briosce with kamut flour and a wholemeal bread. Both with organic ingredients and natural yeast (you can see  our recipes on our bloghttp://ilpostodellevisciole.blogspot.it/2012/01/2-pani-e-1-ricetta.html)
- a cake that varies, depending on the season: for example ... a soft fruit cake, muffins, a cake with apples and nuts ...
- a basket with seasonal fruits, possibly from the farm, but sometimes, if the season does not allow it, purchased in organic food shops or farms in the area, but always and strictly organic produced.
- our jam (we do it with many kind of fruit from or gardens: apricots, figs, plums, strawberries and wild strawberries, sour cherries, black cherries, blackberries...) and our juice (pear, apple, plumcherry and sour cherries) all organic and exclusively products with our fruit!
- a selection of herbal tea and tea,  from our shop https://www.cosedite.it/
- a package of grinded coffee, with our special italian "caffettiera", to prepare and enjoy it.
- a small bottle of our organic olive oil, salt, some bottles of water (that should never miss ;)
In the fridge, milk and plain yogurt, that at the moment we source from a local farm Caseificio Piandelmedico that makes different types of dairy products (in addition to milk and yogurt), and that you can buy in their store in Jesi: fresh and aged cheeses, excellent mozzarella, ricotta, stracchino and ice cream produced with their milk.

Another surprise for our guests is the free use of our
ORGANIC GARDEN!
That from March to November (something also in the other months in the consevatory) is really rich in fruits and vegetables for every taste: apples, figs, grapes and walnuts, strawberries, cherries, sour cherries, apricots, plums, lettuce, celery, pumpkins and zucchini, beans, peas, tomatoes, eggplants, peppers and chilli peppersbeets and spinach, onions, potatoes,  aromatic herbs of every kind.

Finally, in your bathrooms you will find a selection of products that we let make with our essential oils ORGANIC from a well known Italian Marche brand, certified Vegan too, La Saponaria:
A SOAP with olive oil and lavender essential oil, a bath foam and  a shampoo.

And... as we think that everything cannot and should not be scheduled...
We still reserve many surprises, like a walk to taste the wine from our private wine cellar, or to see our animals, special guests of the farm, or even some hours spent to collect excellent wild herbs and suggestions about how to cook them... Some time in the lab to see how we make jam or an afternoon under the pergola of our pool to talk about lavender and do some lavender "wandle" in Provence  style and ... we will tell you about this in some other posts :)
